Extended Day Programs

Ascension Episcopal is able to meet the needs of today’s families by offering both an Early Morning Program from 7:00 AM to 8:00 AM and an After School Program from 3:30 PM to 6:00 PM.  During the afternoon hours, many optional activities and enrichment classes are available such as art, cooking, dance, drama, gymnastics, chess and Tae Kwon Do. Additionally, the school fields coed teams for soccer and baseball. Games are played with other members of the West Houston Christian Sports Association.

A Study Hall is offered from 3:30 PM to 4:30 PM for students in grades one through five. Teachers monitor the study hall and provide help with homework when needed. Younger children have their own room with rotating games and activities.

Playground time is an essential part of our After School Program. It allows children “down” time and also the opportunity to mix with children of different (but closely related) ages as they might in a neighborhood situation. Such time is rare in our fast paced and highly structured society and we fell it is an essential part of our children’s development.

Ascension Episcopal School offers several options for Extended Care. The Early Morning Program is from 7:00 AM to 8:00 AM, and the After-School Program is from 3:30 PM to 6:00 PM. The Extended Care Program tuition monies are due on the first of the month. Late charges will apply to any payment received after the 10^th of the corresponding month. Please note that the above mentioned programs are calculated on an academic calendar year; therefore, there are no prorated months, i.e. November, December and March.

The Drop-In Program is $5.00 per 1/2 hour or for any portion of 1/2 hour. This is a flexible program offered for parents who are in need of occasional child care for their student, and is not available to non-Ascension Episcopal School students. The Drop-In Program is billed at the first of the month with payment due no later than the 10^th of the corresponding month.

Also, please note that if any child is not picked up by 6:00 pm, a late charge of $15.00 per quarter hour will apply.

Drop-In Care

         + Must notify office in advance if possible

         + Late pick-ups automatically go into after-school care

 

Enhanced After-School Program

+ 3:30 PM- 6:00 PM

+ Each class is priced seperately

+ Classes are subject to availability
