PreSchool & PreKindergarten

Using developmentally appropriate materials, colors and numbers are introduced with the youngest age and are expanded upon as the child progresses. Play and social interaction are used to help the children learn acceptable behavior and problem solving. Skilled-based centers in the classroom provide opportunities for learning through an environment of play. These centers enable the teachers to provide materials for additional student support and enrichment.

Concepts and focus in Preschool are shapes, songs and finger play which develop listening, language and self-help skills. A variety of themes are used to reinforce concepts and to make the learning environment stimulating and enjoyable.

Concepts, skills and centers are reinforced in the PreKindergarten classrooms. Reading readiness, mathematical concepts, fine motor skills, emotional and physical readiness and positive work habits are emphasized in order to prepare children for Kindergarten.
